One of a small group of works Yassin Mohamadawi made, Silent Field returns to a recurring subject: a horse and rider dissolving into dust. Built with thick impasto built up over weeks, the surface holds a balanced palette of earth and sky; the landscape format keeps the eye close to the subject. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
