One of a small group of works Shaker Alousi made in 2024, Late Passage returns to a recurring subject: a mother and child in a doorway. The landscape composition is carried by olive, ash and a thread of rose, laid on with layers scraped back to the canvas. What stays with the viewer is its quiet joy. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
