One of a small group of works Walid Badri made, Evening Shore returns to a recurring subject: a musician tuning an oud. The portrait composition is carried by olive, ash and a thread of rose, laid on with thin washes that let the drawing show through. A work of unusual quiet joy. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
