One of a small group of works Salam Khedher made, Hidden Alley returns to a recurring subject: a doorway seen from the street. Built with thick impasto built up over weeks, the surface holds muted greens and greys with a single warm accent; the square format keeps the eye close to the subject. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery. It is shown here as the artist intended.
