One of a small group of works Saadi Kaabi made, Blue Vigil returns to a recurring subject: the courtyard of a childhood house. Honey and terracotta warmed by a late sun dominate, worked with thick impasto built up over weeks. What stays with the viewer is its urgency. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
