One of a small group of works Rashid Diab made in 1992, Early Letter returns to a recurring subject: the courtyard of a childhood house. Built with thin washes that let the drawing show through, the surface holds silvered greens and the blue of distance; the square format keeps the eye close to the subject. What stays with the viewer is its quiet joy. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
