In Distant Horizon, Rakan Dabdoub sets down a horse and rider dissolving into dust, remembered from the Euphrates. Bleached whites with the faintest wash of colour dominate, worked with a palette knife dragged across wet paint. A work of unusual patience. Formerly in a private collection, Amman.
