In Blue Horizon, Rakan Dabdoub sets down a letter that was never sent, remembered from Basra. Built with a palette knife dragged across wet paint, the surface holds pale, chalky tones on a luminous white ground; the portrait format keeps the eye close to the subject. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali. It is shown here as the artist intended.
