In Wandering Courtyard, Noori Al-Rawi sets down women carrying water at dusk, remembered from Jabal Amman. Built with thin washes that let the drawing show through, the surface holds a balanced palette of earth and sky; the portrait format keeps the eye close to the subject. What stays with the viewer is its restraint. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali.
