In Slow River, Nashaat Alousi sets down a musician tuning an oud, remembered from Jabal Amman. Built with a single continuous line, the surface holds a near-black ground from which the forms barely emerge; the landscape format keeps the eye close to the subject. What stays with the viewer is its nostalgia. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
