Evening Harvest was painted after a stay in Jerusalem. Built with areas of flat colour against a textured ground, the surface holds ochres, siennas and a burst of cadmium red; the portrait format keeps the eye close to the subject. What stays with the viewer is its urgency. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali.
