Still Horizon

One of a small group of works Mohammad Fradi made, Still Horizon returns to a recurring subject: women carrying water at dusk. The square composition is carried by ochres, siennas and a burst of cadmium red, laid on with a palette knife dragged across wet paint. What stays with the viewer is its melancholy.
