Copper Alley was painted in 2020 after a stay in Mosul. Built with areas of flat colour against a textured ground, the surface holds muted greens and greys with a single warm accent; the portrait format keeps the eye close to the subject. A work of unusual restraint. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali.
