Slow Orchard

Slow Orchard was painted after a stay in Umm Uthaina. Built with thin washes that let the drawing show through, the surface holds honey and terracotta warmed by a late sun; the square format keeps the eye close to the subject. A work of unusual urgency. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali.
