One of a small group of works Khadeir Al Shakarji made, Golden River returns to a recurring subject: the courtyard of a childhood house. The landscape composition is carried by honey and terracotta warmed by a late sun, laid on with thin washes that let the drawing show through. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
