One of a small group of works Hashim Hannoon made, Early Field returns to a recurring subject: a table set for guests who never came. Warm earth tones — sand, rust and burnt orange dominate, worked with a palette knife dragged across wet paint. A work of unusual nostalgia. Formerly in a private collection, Amman.
