One of a small group of works Hashem Al Tawil made, Morning Harvest returns to a recurring subject: a wedding procession in the alley. The portrait composition is carried by honey and terracotta warmed by a late sun, laid on with areas of flat colour against a textured ground. A work of unusual melancholy.
