One of a small group of works Hani Dallah Ali made, Slow Harvest returns to a recurring subject: a musician tuning an oud. Built with areas of flat colour against a textured ground, the surface holds ochres, siennas and a burst of cadmium red; the landscape format keeps the eye close to the subject. A work of unusual restraint. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali.
