One of a small group of works Ghandi Jebawi made in 2010, Winter Horizon returns to a recurring subject: the last palm trees before the desert. The landscape composition is carried by warm earth tones — sand, rust and burnt orange, laid on with long glazes over an earth ground. What stays with the viewer is its urgency. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
