One of a small group of works Ghandi Jebawi made in 2009, Deep Procession returns to a recurring subject: a figure waiting at a window. Built with areas of flat colour against a textured ground, the surface holds ochres, siennas and a burst of cadmium red; the landscape format keeps the eye close to the subject.
