One of a small group of works Ghandi Jebawi made in 2011, Deep Garden returns to a recurring subject: a musician tuning an oud. Ochres, siennas and a burst of cadmium red dominate, worked with a palette knife dragged across wet paint. What stays with the viewer is its urgency. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
