One of a small group of works Farouq Hassan made in 2011, Evening Song returns to a recurring subject: a flock of birds over the river. The square composition is carried by muted greens and greys with a single warm accent, laid on with areas of flat colour against a textured ground. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery. It is shown here as the artist intended.
