One of a small group of works Bashar Nidaa Kathem made in 2019, Distant Alley returns to a recurring subject: the last palm trees before the desert. The landscape composition is carried by muted greens and greys with a single warm accent, laid on with areas of flat colour against a textured ground. A work of unusual urgency. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali.
