Golden Letter was painted in 2023 after a stay in Wadi Rum. Built with thick impasto built up over weeks, the surface holds olive, ash and a thread of rose; the portrait format keeps the eye close to the subject. What stays with the viewer is its tenderness. Formerly in a private collection, Amman.
