Evening Alley

One of a small group of works Abd Raouf Shamoun made in 2018, Evening Alley returns to a recurring subject: a figure waiting at a window. Warm earth tones — sand, rust and burnt orange dominate, worked with a palette knife dragged across wet paint. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery. It is shown here framed, as the artist intended.
