One of a small group of works Abdulqader Bakheet made in 2017, Golden Passage returns to a recurring subject: a mother and child in a doorway. Honey and terracotta warmed by a late sun dominate, worked with a palette knife dragged across wet paint. What stays with the viewer is its urgency. Exhibited at Orfali Art Gallery.
