One of a small group of works Abd Kareem Sadoun made in 2018, Copper Threshold returns to a recurring subject: a flock of birds over the river. The portrait composition is carried by olive, ash and a thread of rose, laid on with areas of flat colour against a textured ground. Shown in the artist's solo exhibition at Orfali. It is shown here as the artist intended.
